About Worship

Sundays  9:00 a.m.

Our worship follows the Divine Service as laid out in our hymnals. This liturgical format dates back as far as the second and third centuries, reminding us that our Lord and His Word is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and that He richly provides for His people through all generations. Traditional organ music accompanies the congregation in the chanted portions of the liturgy and the hymns.  (Read More)

Children's Ministry

While we are an older congregation, we understand the importance of fostering faith at a young age. Therefore, we continue to offer Sunday School classes after church during the school year which helps guide kids of all ages to consider God’s Word in a fun and formative way. If you have children and would like to know more about our Sunday School offerings, please contact us at the church office or send us a message using the contact form...  (Read More)

 We Gather to Receive

We gather to receive the gifts of God’s grace. God has promised to give generously of His mercy and His Holy Spirit through His Word and Sacraments. We gather as a community to receive God’s gifts because apart from His gifts we have nothing of value.

We receive wisdom and knowledge, strength and peace as we receive the Word of God in our Sunday gatherings. The writer of the book of Hebrews teaches us what the Word of God is:
“The Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart“ (Hebrews 4:12).
St. Paul encouraged Timothy to remain actively in the Word of God so that he might be prepared to change the world with the Gospel.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work“ (2 Timothy 3:16-17).  Read more...
